Defy The Unforgiving

WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO MAGICALLY CURE HAIR LOSS, BUT IS THERE A WAY OF PROLONGING THE PROCESS? There are many of us out there that are quite skeptical about some of the hair growth products currently available on the market, and rightly so. There is still no proven formula that 100% cures hair loss. There are however, products that work to slow down the process and in some cases even help to sustain and develop new hair growth on the hairline area and scalp. Our recent survey shows that the vast majority of men opt for hair loss treatments in the form of tablets or capsules. This is followed by scalp therapy type foams, sprays and shampoos. Men seem to be far more skeptical about the scalp therapy treatments working. The most popular selling anti-hair loss foam on the market is Regaine, consisting of 5% Minoxidil - the formula which has in many cases proven to counteract the hair loss process. HG Formula Spray, as covered and reviewed in one of our previous posts , acts as a powerful tr

SO WHAT IS IT ABOUT THIS SPRAY THAT MAKES IT SUCH AN EFFECTIVE HAIR LOSS TREATMENT?  HG Formula Spray is the latest anti-hair loss spray on the market that aims to be at the forefront of all hair growth sprays. With its rise in popularity, effective results and glowing reviews, HG Formula Spray continues to grow in stature as one of the leading hair growth products of its kind. As reviewed in a previous post in this blog, HG Formula Spray consists of vital herbs and ingredients that compliment the 10% Minoxidil dosage. Minoxidil is the formula that was initially used for treating patients, but with the accidental discovery that the formula was responsible for new hair growth, it has been used ever since in hair loss treatment products such as Regaine (Rogaine).  Regaine currently has a Minoxidil percentage of between 3%-5% in its serum and foam. The logical theory is that the more Minoxidil you use the better the hair growth results. But the fact of the matter is that if you use to

Minoxidil: The Scalp Therapy Formula

MINOXIDIL IS PROVEN TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP HAIR LOSS AND PROMOTE HAIR REGROWTH   Minoxidil is an antihypertensivevasodilator medication which also slows or stops hair loss Minoxidil is added to many types of hair loss products, but usually in the form of a foam or a spray. The mechanism by which minoxidil promotes hair growth is not fully understood. Minoxidil contains the nitric oxide chemical moiety and may act as a nitric oxide agonist. Similarly, minoxidil is a potassium channel opener, causing hyperpolorization of cell membranes. Minoxidil is less effective when there is a large area of hair loss. In addition, its effectiveness has largely been demonstrated in younger men who have experienced hair loss for less than 5 years. Minoxidil use is indicated for central hair loss only (ie the scalp area) Minoxidil is also a vasolidator - Hypothetically, by widening blood vessels and opening potassium channels, it allows more oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the follicle. This may cause fol

Going Bald: Letters & Feedback

Photography by Ben Miller I Have A Bald Spot On My Scalp - Need Advice! People have recently been noticing and commenting on a slight bald spot on the crown of my head. I've not noticed any real thinning or receding of the hairline, so I'm not overly concerned about this, but at only 21 years of age, I do get very self-conscience about my appearance. I've recently tried the German shampoo, Alpecin , and it seems to be doing a great job in strengthening and thickening my hair. I don't feel I am ready or at the point yet to start messing about with these hair loss capsules and serums. But, after reading about hair loss online, it is highly recommended that the issue must be tackled as early as possible in order for treatment to be successful. Do you have any ideas or advice for me?  Dan, UK. Dan, the bald spot on your scalp could just be the crown in your hairline or caused by the way in which you have styled or parted your hair. If you look around you, many men have a sl
