Recession Alert: Penn Badgley

Image
We recently talked about Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick's receding hairline. But he isn't the only show star with some early signs of recession - just look at photos of costar Penn Badgley. At 25, he too has some early recession in the temporal region. Considering his young age, and his role on the popular show, Badgley should probably start thinking about preventative care. He'll likely need the aid of an FDA-approved medication like Rogaine or Propecia to stop or slow down further recession. Low level laser therapy may also be beneficial in stimulating healthy hair growth.

Learn “How to Avoid a Hair Transplant™”at Cosmetic Surgey & Wellness Expo

How early a person spots thinning hair determines how much hair they save. Those who wait until the hair loss is visible to the naked eye are too late - 50 percent is already gone. I will be a featured presenter at the Cosmetic Surgery & Wellness Expo 2012 at the Miami Convention Center on Saturday, February 25, presenting “How to Avoid a Hair Transplant,™” a multimedia presentation that will discuss safe and effective medical therapies proven to protect, enhance and restore hair growth in men and women. Although hair transplant technology has improved significantly in recent years, our first goal is always non-surgical intervention. The goal of this talk is to teach prospective patients about the abundance of preventative care treatments, from low level lasers to FDA approved medications and nutritional supplements and how to better understand the hair loss process, including the importance of meeting with a board-certified hair restoration physician. Following the presentation, w

Recession Alert: Ed Westwick

Image
Fashionable Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick is sporting a less than desirable accessory these days - a receding hairline. At 24, he is already showing some considerable recession in the temporal region. Considering his young age, and his reputation as a stylish guy, Westick should probably start thinking about preventative care. He'll likely need the aid of an FDA-approved medication like Rogaine or Propecia to stop or slow down further recession. Low level laser therapy may also be beneficial in stimulating healthy hair growth.

The Cosmetic Surgery & Wellness Expo 2012 is heading to the Miami Beach Convention Center on Saturday, February 25th. The event is free to the public and will include seminars, demonstrations and giveaways! The goal of the event is to bring together the most qualified doctors and practitioners to offer trustworthy and honest information and advice to consumers.  Bauman Medical Group will be a featured supporter for the event and I'll be giving a presentation titled, "How to Avoid a Hair Transplant™" While modern hair transplants are more minimally-invasive, comfortable and natural-looking than ever before, why undergo a procedure when you can prevent significant hair loss in the first place? We'll be discussing safe and effective medical therapies proven to protect, enhance and restore hair growth. After the multimedia presentation, several of our patients will be 'live' on-hand to discuss their own personal hair loss and hair treatment experiences.  For mo

Is Mitt Romney's Hair Fake?

Image
At 64, Mitt Romney continues to keep his remarkably full hairline. As most people know, the hair loss risk increases with age, but, specifically, at his age, Romney is defying 50- to 60 percent chance of hair loss. Whether you are a fan of his politics or not, you can't deny he looks good for his age, and can't help but wonder how does he do it?  While his hairline is controlled, consistent and specific - it isn't unnatural, which means his perfect hairline isn't due to a hair transplant. My guess would be he is using a strong conditioner or maybe a light styling product to keep his hair in check during those heated debates. As for his gray hair, it too looks natural, although at times there has appeared to be more gray than others - not uncommon among those in the spotlight. It wouldn't surprise me if Romney, who has been known to cut his own hair at times, is keeping the gray hair in check with a DIY color treatment.  It is certainly possible that Romney is using

Recession Alert: John C. Reilly

Image
Actor John C. Reilly seems to be on a slight hiatus from film making - hopefully he is using his free time to address his receding hairline! Reilly, 46, is has deep recession in the temporal region, which isn't at all uncommon for a man his age. In fact, 40 percent of all men experience some hair loss in their 40s. If Reilly wants to slow down the progression of hair loss, he may want to consider some preventative options. FDA-approved Rogaine or Propecia could help stop further recession, while a regimen of Low Level Laser Therapy could stimulate healthy hair growth. He would hardly be the first actor to embrace these treatments, more celebrities are investing in hair restoration than ever before. New technology and non-invasive procedures are selling points for many actors looking to enhance their looks discreetly.

What is Behind Andy Roddick's Mohawk?

Image
Tennis star Andy Roddick is making headlines, but unfortunately, not for his tennis game. The 29-year old athlete is garnering attention for his new haircut - a mohawk!  When asked about his decision to cut his hair, he replied: "I'm pretty sure I only have a year or two left with hair, so I decided to have fun with it while I did." While Roddick may seem young to be facing hair loss, it isn't uncommon. Nearly 30 percent of men experience some degree of hair loss in their 30s and that number increases to 40 percent as men enter their 40s. Considering his age, Roddick might want to consider a proactive hair regimen of FDA-approved Propecia or Rogaine, which could help prevent or slow down the progression of hair loss.

Recession Alert: Matt Damon

Image
Good news for men everywhere, even with a receding hairline you can still be a Hollywood heartthrob! Just look at former sexiest man alive, Matt Damon.  In recent photos of the actor, 41, you can see early signs of temporal recession, which isn't at all uncommon for a man his age. Thirty percent of men in their 30s experience hair loss and the number increases to 40 percent as men enter their 40s. From the photos, it appears that Damon is Norwood Class I, which means that while his hairline is maturing, typical of an adult hairline, he has yet to see any frontal balding. He is also fortunate to have an otherwise full head of hair. Considering his status on the Hollywood A-list, Damon might want to consider a proactive hair regimen of FDA-approved Propecia or Rogaine, which could help him avoid any further recession. He would hardly be the first celebrity to take action against hair loss, more celebrities are investing in hair restoration than ever before. New technology and non-inv
