A recent survey from  HairLoss.com , found that losing one’s hair affects virtually every part of life, from social and work life, to dating and family life. Both men and women reported that hair loss has negatively affected their self-confidence and self-esteem.  Survey Findings:  90 percent of those who suffer from a chronic hair loss condition reported that they think about their hair loss "all the time," as opposed to "sometimes" or "not much." 90 percent of respondents reported that hair loss has affected their social life. 80 percent said their work and dating lives have been affected.  Just under 80 percent reported that their home lives and intimacy have been affected for the worst.  While hair loss can do doubt be a painful process for both men and women, there is a silver lining, the science of hair loss is advancing at an amazing rate - and promising new treatments are  being developed each year. The important thing for people to realize is, tha

Over 70,000 consumers tuned in to the first ever YouTube Live hair transplant on Friday, November 18th, as I performed a second NeoGraft Follicular-Unit Extraction (FUE) on weblebrity Kevin “Nalts” Nalty. There is new hope for men and women faced with thinning hair, Latisse, the same drug that has been proven effective in growing thicker, longer, darker eyelashes. Latisse is already FDA approved to grow eyelashes, but Allergan recently began Phase 2 clinical trials to use it on male and female pattern hair loss as well. If it succeeds, it will be only the second topical treatment to receive FDA approval for hair loss (the other is Rogaine). I've been prescribing Latisse for off-label use on the scalp - and have already begun seeing some promising results. LeBron James' receding hairline has been the punchline of many jokes and is often the topic of media speculation, but it appears the basketball star might be planning to put an end to all that.  In a recent Twitter post, LeBron suggested his hairline might be coming back soon. While the 26-year old athlete might be using humor to address the situation, if he is serious about wanting to reverse the damage, there are options available that can help. Joey Lawrence's hairline has caused much speculation over the years. After years of sporting a bald head, it appears the 35-year old is ready to start growing his hair out. Despite those who say otherwise, Joey appears to have underwent a hair transplant. When you look at his hairline up close, you can see that it is sparse and "grafty," telling signs of a transplant. But he is fortunate that it doesn't appear "pluggy."  Another red flag is the frontal peak and straight lines of his hairline, which look unnatural. Hopefully he plans to remedy this later with micrografts that can fill in the hairline and help create a more natural looking appearance.  While his hairline is telling, the major giveaway is the lack of temporal points and the bizarre hair directions you can see in the frontal 1/4 inch that do not follow or match the hair behind.
